ROOKERY BAY TO HOST MANGROVES TRIMMING REGULATIONS WORKSHOP 

NAPLES – The Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve will host a learning opportunity for landscape professionals focusing on responsible mangrove maintenance on August 14.

This half-day course will provide attendees with knowledge regarding the role and value of mangroves, the rules and laws that govern mangrove trimming, and important mangrove pruning techniques. Participants will also learn basic mangrove biology and identification. The course will consist of a combination of demonstrations, hands-on learning, discussion and lecture. Cost is $15. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited.
