DEP SECRETARY HERSCHEL T. VINYARD JR. TO DISCUSS UPCOMING EFFORTS TO PROTECT COLLIER COUNTY RESIDENTS

TALLAHASSEE Florida Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Herschel T. Vinyard Jr. will be available today to discuss the department's upcoming efforts to ensure the health and safety of residents and Florida’s environment. During the call, members of the media will have the opportunity to ask questions related to the department’s groundwater sampling and monitoring well installation at the Collier-Hogan well site in Collier County that will begin on Tuesday. Secretary Vinyard and department staff will address questions regarding these efforts, as well as general questions regarding environmental concerns pertaining to oil and gas operations in the area.
