Florida Department of Environmental Protection Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) Rulemaking Update

You are subscribed to the Submerged Lands and Environmental Resources rules updates for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.  The Department has published a Notice of Rule Development to begin rulemaking to adopt a new Rule 62-330.411, Florida Administrative Code, Environmental Resource General Permit for Public Navigation Channels and Canal Infrastructure by the West Coast Inland Navigation District within Charlotte County. 

This general permit will provide a more streamlined, less costly, and more certain authorization mechanism than obtaining separate Individual ERPs (which would otherwise be required for non-exempt dredging). Creating this rule will help further implement WCIND’s “Regional Waterway Management System” (RWMS) within Southwest Florida, and thereby promote safer and more environmentally-friendly boating practices within the area.
