TWO-DAY "GREENING YOUR BOTTOM-LINE" BUSINESS EXPO IN FORT MYERS

margin while protecting the environment~
FORT MYERS – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's South District, along with its partners, are hosting the second annual Greening Your Bottom Line Expo and Conference in Fort Myers on Oct. 16
and 17. Speakers will explore the economic benefits of sustainable business
practices, and exhibitors will showcase green products and services.
The expo will include representatives from companies such as TECO Energy, Florida Power
& Light, Audubon International and InterContinental Hotels Group. Keynote
speakers on Oct. 16 include Keith Reynolds, an environmental manager at Arthrex
Inc., and Susan Glickman of the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy. Robert Wanvestraut of the Southwest Florida
Water Management District will discuss how efficient water use can cut
operating costs. Betsy Allen of the Southwest Regional Manufacturers
Association will lead workshops on sustainability and leadership.
Brad
Stombock of the Department’s Office of Sustainable Initiatives will open the
expo on Oct. 17 and will participate in sessions on Clean Marinas and Green Lodging.
A panel discussion on the future of sustainable development in Southwest
Florida is on the agenda, along with panels on eco-tourism and the hospitality
industry. Joy Lehman, global
sustainability manager for Hertz Corp., will be a keynote speaker.
The expo will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the
Harborside Event Center

There is a $60 registration fee for the full program or $35 for single day.
