The D.C. Office on Aging is looking for seniors to volunteer for Senior Friends, an
intergenerational program in area schools. Interested volunteers must
complete a criminal background check and other screening and participate in a
training session. Senior Friends will serve as volunteers that
provide one-on-one assistance, read and lead special activities in
preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms. If you have time to lend,

The D.C. Office on Aging (DCOA) is seeking interested persons
to participate on a review panel for the Senior Transportation Services
Program Grant. The review panel process is projected to last a
minimum of three to five days. Interested persons should have a general knowledge and
understanding of senior transportation needs in the District of Columbia and specific knowledge, skill and or experience
in transportation coordination and planning, direct service provision,
administration, systems and designs that address seniors with attention to
access, economic and mobility issues. Panelists will be required to read and score all applications
on-site. Panelist are also expected to read and score a minimum of three

The D.C. Office on Aging (DCOA) Ambassador Program is a FREE,
interactive, member-based program designed to reach out to older adults and
their caregivers to help them learn about the services and resources available
to them through DCOA. If you are interested in expanding your network and educating older adults
about the services and resources available to them, join us for our next
