Help Feds Feed Families at NextGen

During this year’s Next Generation of Government Training Summit in Washington, DC on July 25 and 26, 2013, YGL will be having a collection drive for the National Capital Area Food Bank! This is in conjunction with the annual Feds Feed Families initiative, and their theme for this year is “Fired Up! Put a Dent in Hunger this Summer”. The items needed include canned fruits, vegetables, baking goods, and other household items! View the complete list of Most Wanted Items here. If you are attending this year’s NextGen, aim on bringing at least one item that will help feed our neighbors throughout the Washington, DC metro area! The collection boxes will be right behind the registration tables. Additionally, for each item that you donate, you will be entered in a raffle to win a FREE ticket to next year’s NextGen! For questions or more information, contact Christine Connors at communityservice@younggov.org.

Survey: What Motivates You to Give?

Young Government Leaders, a professional organization of almost 5,000 men and women, is committed to providing the authentic voice for our generation of aspiring government leaders.

Civic engagement and government service are ideologically linked, and YGL members contribute to the improvement of their communities in several ways—at the office and outside of it. The goal of this survey is to ascertain what motivatesgiving, and how YGL’s members prefer to give to their community.

This survey should take less than 5 minutes. Your contribution is very valuable and will provide powerful insight into the choices young government employees make when serving their communities. Please note that all responses are confidential and we do not tie individual responses to personal information.
