A Note From Your New YGL Denver President
YGL Denver successfully held elections this fall and I would like to welcome all 2016 Board members. We will be working hard to put together some great events this year, all focused on networking and creating opportunities. We want to continue moving the YGL Denver Chapter forward by increasing our active membership through the value we create as an organization. I had a one-on-one call with the President of the YGL National last week and they are very interested in helping us in a variety of ways to put together great events that increase active interest in YGL.
We will be circulating a poll in the next month to enlist feedback from you about how we can focus our efforts to create the most value as an organization. In 2016 we will continue focusing on offering valuable networking and career focused opportunities, social events, and community outreach activities. Whether you are looking to take the next step in your career, want to learn more about opportunities or are interested in mentoring, there are steps we can take to assist you throughout your career.
Always feel free to contact us directly with ideas, thoughts or events you would like to see YGL host. We are always looking for your feedback so we hope to hear from you soon. Email us at YGLDenver@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Justin Fazzari
YGL Denver Chapter President

Urban Peak is a homeless shelter for teens. They are required to go to school or have a job. It’s not just a place to sack out, as some would think. We are looking for more volunteers to help provide and serve food the 3rd Wednesday of the month. There are a group of federal employees that get there around 5 and 6 and are usually done by 7. There is no dishwashing or cleanup involved. The teens take care of that. They are always so appreciative of what the volunteers do. It’s a wonderful way to feel like you are making a difference in a young persons life.
The group volunteers at the S. Bannock location. If you are interested in helping please contact Michael Nestlehut Michael.Nestlehut@onrr.gov.
