Adoption of
Charitable Solicitations Rules and Solicitation Notice Late Fees
Effective Dec. 17, 2015
Beginning December 17, 2015, solicitation notices filed late will be subject to fines. If a notice is not filed at least 15 days before the beginning of a solicitation campaign, a $200 fine will be added to the normal filing fee of $75. The notice is considered filed once payment is made. Please work with your client charities to get their electronic signature on solicitation notices in time to avoid these fines.
This is a change in law resulting from the passage of House Bill 1206 during the 2014 General Assembly.
