Geer Canyon Drive flood recovery reconstruction project starts Tuesday, March 8

Access to Heil Valley Ranch Open Space will be maintained, but expect short delays

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Transportation will begin permanent reconstruction of Geer Canyon Drive and stream restoration for Geer Creek at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8.

To accommodate the project, the contractor will need to reduce Geer Canyon Drive to one lane. Travelers will be moved through the construction zones by traffic control personnel. Access to Heil Valley Ranch will be maintained at all times. Working hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project is anticipated to last until mid-May, weather permitting.

Boulder County Parks and Open Space are anticipating conducting a prescribed burn at Heil Valley Ranch between March 13 and March 26, weather permitting. This activity will require that Heil Valley Ranch be closed to the public in order to safely conduct the operation. Updates on the prescribed fire work are available at: www.BoulderCountyOpenSpace.org/burns.
