Hello All,

Just a friendly reminder that the Fourth of July holiday can be noisy and scary for our pets. In fact, here in Riverside more pets run away and are lost, hit by cars or end up in our Shelter after the Fourth than at any other time of year. Please consider bringing your pets indoors to an escape-proof area of your home. Turning on the TV or radio can help mask the noise of the fireworks. Some dogs benefit from calming medication obtained from your vet in advance. With a little extra effort and planning we can help reduce the number of pets who are negatively impacted by the noise of fireworks.
