Riverside Mayor and City Council 2014 Regatta and Hot Dog BBQ

Come and Join the Fun!

For the past six years the City Council and Mayor have staged an annual sailboat race.  The race benefits both the Riverside Youth Sailing Program in Fairmount Park and a local charity selected by each councilmember and the mayor.  Half the funds go to the sailing program and half the proceeds of tickets sold by each of the councilmembers and the mayor go to their charities.  There are two competitions here; who can sell the most tickets and who wins the actual race.

My charity is The Arc of Riverside County.  This organization trains and employs developmentally and intellectually disabled adults in western Riverside County.

It is a fun day and there is a pretty good chance at least one of the councilmembers or the mayor will end up in the water.  The Police and Fire Chiefs will also be sailing.

Please contact me to purchase tickets.  You can reach me at the office at 826-5991, by cell phone at 941-7084 or by email at mgardner@riversideca.gov.

The race will be on Saturday June 21st from 11 am to 2:30 pm
at Fairmount Park's Izaak Walton Building on Lake Evans (Across from the Golf Course)  Parking is available at the golf course.

Your $10 Admission Ticket includes:
a Hot BBQ Lunch with all the fixin's,
a view of the Sailboat Race action,
Charity Partner Booths & Silent Auction Items
       Door Prizes, and More!
