Golden Gate Ferry service delays due to construction/dredging projects

Due to various construction projects and dredging in the Bay, Golden Gate Ferry has recently experienced some service delays, with more delays expected in the coming weeks.

Minor delays of 10 to 15 minutes may occur throughout August and September. However, due to the nature of the work, it is not possible to predict which trips will be impacted. We apologize for the disruption and ask our customers to plan for extra travel time as we improve our facilities.

Travel to and from the San Francisco Ferry Terminal will be impacted from Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23, when the outer berth will be out of service from 9 a.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday to retrofit and replace the boarding ramp cylinders. Passengers should be prepared for delays on all trips during these three days.
