Arizona Science Center offers a variety of homeschool opportunities for students from September through May. Homeschool classes are held onsite at Arizona Science Center and offsite at Usery Mountain Park.

3-2-1 BLAST OFF- Come and learn how rockets fly! Design and build your own water rocket then launch it and see it fly. You MUST provide your own 20oz. soda bottle from a Coke or Pepsi product. Other bottle types will not work.

HERITAGE HOUSE

Explore the history of Phoenix with your kids by engaging in hands-on activities. Our homeschool days are reserved especially for home educating families. They are designed for children ages 5 to 12, but children of all ages are welcome. Your family will take a child-friendly tour of the Rosson House, learn 19th century chores, play classic games, and receive a historically themed craft to take home. A minimum of 10 children age 5 or older must be registered at least one week prior to the event in order for us to hold the homeschool day event.

WHEN:  Tuesdays 1:00-2:30 PM

Check out Mudpie Studios newest art classes for homeschool students. Located in Anthem, we offer 6-week programs with small class sizes (4-6 students), to get the most creative learning experience. Students will learn drawing, fabric art, canvas painting, environmental art and more. Sign up at the Mudpie Studios website listed below. Space is limited and classes fill quickly.

American Heritage Festival

The American Heritage Festival is the largest living history timeline event west of the Mississippi, is organized by homeschoolers and is a tremendous educational opportunity for all ages regarding our national, cultural and spiritual heritage.

Learn star names, see the constellations, and listen to stories of the night sky. View the moon, planets, star clusters, nebula, galaxies and more through our telescopes. We encourage you to bring your digital camera and binoculars to enjoy the views from these great locations.
