Paving operations on Vulture Mine Road in Wickenburg begins Wednesday

Delays expected Wednesday through Friday for roadway improvement project

PRESCOTT – The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a paving project along Vulture Mine Road between Easy Street and US 60 in Wickenburg on Wednesday (July 6).

Crews will remove a layer of the existing pavement and apply a new layer of asphalt and temporary striping. The project will begin at 6 a.m. Wednesday (July 6) and is scheduled to be completed by 6 p.m. Friday (July 8).

Vulture Mine Road will be reduced to one lane and crews will be directing local traffic through project work zone with a pilot car. Drivers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes and should allow additional travel time.

Local traffic entering Vulture Mine Road from side streets within the work zone are reminded to be alert for the pilot car and should only turn onto the street when the pilot car passes so they can safely direct them through the construction zone.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
