Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) lane restrictions between Cave Creek Road and Tatum Boulevard begin Monday night (July 6) in Phoenix

Restrictions needed as part of Black Mountain Boulevard project

 

Loop 101 will be narrowed up to one lane at times between Cave Creek Road and Tatum Boulevard. Please allow for extra travel time while the following closures are in place:

  • Westbound Loop 101 narrowed to one lane between Cave Creek Road and Tatum Boulevard from 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday (July 7).
  • Eastbound Loop 101 narrowed to two lanes between Cave Creek Road and Tatum Boulevard from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday (July 8).
  • Eastbound Loop 101 narrowed to two lanes and westbound Loop 101 narrowed to one lane between Cave Creek Road and Tatum Boulevard from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday (July 9).
  • Loop 101 narrowed to one lane in both directions between Cave Creek Road and Tatum Boulevard from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday (July 10).

Eastbound Loop 101 off-ramp to southbound SR 51 closed Friday night (July 10):

  • Eastbound Loop 101 off-ramp to southbound SR 51 closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (July 11). DETOUR: Drivers exit at Cave Creek Road and travel south to Union Hills Drive to access southbound SR 51.

NOTE: Loop 101 HOV lanes closed between Cave Creek Rd. and Tatum Blvd. until late August.

 

Black Mountain Boulevard construction includes the ramp connections to SR 51 and portions of Black Mountain Boulevard, including related features, north to Pinnacle Peak Road. Funding for the segment between SR51/101L Interchange to Deer Valley Road was approved by the voters through Proposition 400 in late 2004.
